Business Assistance Program

The Valley Economic Alliance
Works for Businesses

The Valley Economic Alliance has joined forces with the Los Angeles County Economic Development Corporation (LAEDC), and the Los Angeles Workforce Investment Board (LA WIB) to offer confidential, free-of-charge on-site consultations to San Fernando Valley businesses.

Our expert Business Assistance Team has worked directly with over 500 businesses in the past year. We secured financing, tax credits, business referrals, and a variety of creative solutions for the challenges faced by local businesses. Helping businesses succeed is our mission. We will listen, observe and research all the possibilities in order to improve and expand your business.

A VEA Business Assistance Success Story:

For the past 4-decades UltraGlas, Inc. has designed and manufactured specialty architecture glass for some of the most respected companies, facilities and homes in the world. When we started a new line of our patented 100% recycled UltraGlas-E building components and wanted to grow the business to include laminated BIPV, Building Integrated Photovoltaic PowerPlastic solar film, we needed financing and The Valley Economic Alliance connected us to the VEDC, Valley Economic Development Council.

“Kenn Phillips of The Valley Economic Alliance continuously makes connections for me and has introduced me to numerous entities for business growth opportunities. After working with The Valley Economic Alliance, the VEDC, CMTC and the City of Los Angeles, we have benefited from their introductions to business alliances, sources of expertise and professional and educational services.  These included new potential clients, financing for new equipment from the VEDC and assistance in establishing cost containment and marketing strategies. We now have expanded our business’s size, markets, capabilities and offerings and will soon be rehiring our laid off and new employees. We have purchased new state-of-the-art high-efficiency equipment and are the first in the Americas to manufacture vision windows and building cladding panels that produce electricity to power the building or feed back into the grid.

I have been very fortunate to have worked with these fine organizations. They are a true asset to improving our community’s quality of life and sustaining its vital business enterprises.”
