Delia Valdivia has been with U.S. Department of Commerce, U.S. Commercial Service since June of 2000. The U.S. Commercial Service is the trade promotion arm of the Department of Commerce and helps U.S. small and medium sized business grow internationally. In her capacity as an International Trade Specialist, Valdivia offers export counseling to companies in the architecture, construction, engineering services, building products, construction equipment, safety & security, and travel and tourism industries. Within the U.S. Commercial Service,. Valdivia is an active member of the Architecture, Construction, Engineering (ACE), Safety & Security, and Trade Americas teams.
Her overseas experiences with the U.S. Commercial Service include temporary assignments as: Acting Commercial Officer in Mexico City, Mexico and Budget Analyst in Caracas, Venezuela.
Valdivia’s education background includes a B.A. in Business Administration with and emphasis in International Business and Marketing from Mount St. Mary’s College in Los Angeles, California (2000).
