A Conversation With:
Global Fortune Babies
President & CEO
How long have you been volunteering in the community?
I have been volunteering in various communities in California since childhood through my Buddhist Organization – Soka Gakkai International.
Tell us a little about yourself.
I am a native Californian, practicing Buddhist, and a joyfully creative world traveler. I was born into this sect of Buddhism, and when an individual is born and raised in the sect of Buddhism that I practice, they are considered a “Fortune Baby.” I too am a Fortune Baby now Fortune Adult. Practicing this faith has availed me the extraordinary opportunity to meet so many people both locally and worldwide.
I understand that all babies and children (aka ‘little people’ as I joyfully refer to them) are fortune babies. Fortune babies grow up to be fortune adults. I believe fortune babies are not only their parents’ fortune, but their families’ fortune, their communities’ fortune, my fortune, and moreover the world’s fortune. It is through these powerful relationships that I am committed to honor; every human being as a fortune baby, as a gift giving and receiving life on this planet.
My business, Global Fortune Babies (GFB), was born and realized from a humble childhood dream. As a result, I want every ‘little person’ to receive the GFB Onesie and experience this as their first gift from their local community as a gift of love and joy for a lifetime. We care, honor every being, and respect YOU! Join the movement, by purchasing and partnering with us to ensure every ‘little person’ on the planet has a GFB Onesie.

Where do you see your business in the next 3 years?
GFB is a company supporting mindful families who want to have a positive impact on the environment, by offering local, ethical and ecological baby onesies. When you purchase a GFB onesie, you will know it was made free of sweatshop, child and slave labor, providing a living wage employment to local women and families. GFB will partner with local and global communities such as hospitals, community centers, orphanages, temples, churches, mosques, synagogues, and many more places on the planet intended to spread peace.
I see the GFB onesie movement in the next 3 years to grow throughout the United States and globally. I see it as a company known for its local employment and manufacturing of onesies wherever sold and operating in the world.
Why did you join The Valley Economic Alliance’s Business Accelerator Program?
I joined the Business Accelerator Program because I recognized that it was the perfect opportunity for me to surround myself with likeminded entrepreneurial women. It is an opportunity to contribute and receive the gift of business collaboration. With all of my experience in the workforce, I understood there needed to be a fundamental shift in my mindset in order for me to realize this awesome GFB business and movement.
What are you most excited about your business accomplishing in the near future?
I am most excited about my business accomplishing a strong online presence and name recognition for this joyful and peaceful GFB Onesie business and movement!
