14 Dec Board of Governors Annual Meeting
Twenty four new Valley leaders were unanimously elected to the Board of Governors of The Valley Economic Alliance at their annual meeting on August 25, 2016, Richard Katz, Chairman of The Valley Economic Alliance, announced today. The Board of Governors’ business leaders represent a wide sector of the business arena; from government to real estate, from health care to hospitality, and from manufacturing to entertainment—to name just a few. The meeting was hosted by Valley Presbyterian Hospital at the Jean and David W. Fleming Health Education Center.
The newly appointed Board of Directors members include: Paula Bahamon, Vice President – Bank of America, James Bozajian, Mayor – City of Calabasas, Paula Devine, Mayor – City of Glendale, Robert Gonzales, Mayor – City of San Fernando, Kim Guard, Owner – Express Employment Professionals, Dr. David Steele-Figueredo, President – Woodbury University, Jess Talamantes, Mayor – City of Burbank, Gina Uzunyan, Chairman – Southland Regional Assn. of Realtors and Katherine Whitman, Chairman – Valley International Trade Association.

Installation of Governors, Directors and Officers was officiated by Los Angeles City Controller Ron Galperian.
At the Economic Alliance annual meeting, a who’s who representing the political leadership of the five cities comprising the region, presented their “State of the City” reports for the upcoming fiscal year. Speakers included Glendale Mayor Paula Devine, San Fernando Mayor Robert Gonzales, Office of Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti, Business Development Specialist Frank Aguirre, Burbank Community Development Director Patrick Prescott, and Calabasas Mayor James Bozajian.
