Strong businesses create strong communities. The Valley Economic Alliance is committed to helping businesses of every size start, grow, innovate, and thrive in the San Fernando Valley. Working alongside our public and private sector partners, we connect companies with the resources, relationships, and opportunities they need to succeed while strengthening one of the nation’s most dynamic regional economies.

Whether you’re considering relocating to the Valley, expanding your operations, navigating business challenges, pursuing government contracts, or implementing sustainable business practices, we’re here to help.

Business Attraction & Expansion

The San Fernando Valley offers one of the most diverse and resilient economies in Southern California. Home to nearly two million residents, a highly educated workforce, world-class universities and colleges, leading healthcare institutions, major entertainment studios, aerospace and advanced manufacturing companies, life science innovators, and thousands of small businesses, the Valley provides an exceptional environment for growth.

The Valley Economic Alliance works with local cities, developers, brokers, economic development partners, utilities, and business leaders to attract new investment, facilitate business expansion, promote redevelopment opportunities, and showcase the many advantages of locating in the San Fernando Valley.

Business Retention & Assistance

Supporting existing businesses is just as important as attracting new ones. Through strategic partnerships with business service organizations, government agencies, chambers of commerce, and industry experts, we connect employers with technical assistance, financing resources, permitting guidance, workforce solutions, export assistance, and other tools that help businesses remain competitive.

Whether navigating economic uncertainty, planning for growth, or overcoming operational challenges, businesses can rely on the Alliance to help connect them with the right resources at the right time.

Procurement & Contracting

Government agencies, major corporations, and large institutions purchase billions of dollars in goods and services each year. The Valley Economic Alliance helps businesses better understand procurement opportunities, prepare for supplier diversity initiatives, strengthen their competitiveness, and connect with contracting partners.

From local public works projects to opportunities created by transformational investments such as the 2026 FIFA World Cup, the 2028  Olympic and Paralympic Games, transportation improvements, and major infrastructure initiatives, we work to ensure Valley businesses are well-positioned to compete for new opportunities.

Sustainability & Resilience

Sustainability is increasingly good for both business and the environment. The Alliance encourages businesses to adopt practices that reduce operating costs, improve efficiency, conserve natural resources, and strengthen long-term resilience.

Working with regional partners, we promote green business certification, energy efficiency, water conservation, waste reduction, clean transportation, climate resilience, and sustainable business practices that contribute to a healthier economy and a healthier San Fernando Valley.

Economic Research

Good decisions begin with good data. The Valley Economic Alliance develops and shares economic research that helps business leaders, investors, policymakers, educators, and community organizations better understand regional trends and opportunities.

Our reports and analyses examine workforce trends, housing, industry growth, commercial development, demographics, infrastructure, consumer markets, and emerging sectors to support informed decision-making and strengthen the Valley’s long-term competitiveness.
