VIC originated in 1964 as a result of a fair housing issue in the San Fernando Valley.
Today the organization is well-known for its 60 years assisting seniors, caregivers and families with an array of vital social programs and services.
VIC currently operates three Senior Centers and 10 separate dining sites:
Over 1000 meals are served daily…Including freshly prepared meals delivered to homebound seniors.
Over 300,000 meals are provided annually!
Additionally, VIC provides over 45,000 rides each year to Seniors:
To our Senior Centers…For Shopping and Marketing…To Visit Family…To Doctor Appointments and more.
VIC’s congregate dining and variety of social activities help combat Seniors against their feeling lonely or isolated—an epidemic among Seniors today.
We are fighting hunger and providing for those in need on a daily basis while bringing diverse communities together.
Without VIC, it would not be possible for such an extraordinary number of Seniors to receive a daily meal plus added support and resources essential to overall wellness.
Additional support services include social, educational and wellness activities, medical screenings, safety equipment and referrals to other community resources.
ALL grants and donations are an important part of our providing dynamic vital programs and enriching the lives of hundreds of thousands of Seniors.
