Emmy Award-Winning Comedian & Weathercaster to Receive Award
at 26th Annual Valley of the Stars Gala
Sherman Oaks, California—Emmy Award-Winning Comedian & Weathercaster Fritz Coleman will receive the Media Award at The Valley Economic Alliance (The Alliance) 26th Annual Valley of the Stars Awards Gala presented by Bechtel Infrastructure Corporation, April 25, 2024, 5:30-8:30 p.m. (PST) at Hilton Los Angeles/Universal City located at 555 Universal Hollywood Dr, Universal City, CA 91608.
The Media Award is given to a media figure who contributes to the vitality of the Valley.
Fritz Coleman is a 5-time Emmy Award-Winning stand-up comedian and former NBC Weathercaster. He’s opened all over the United States for entertainment icons like Ray Charles, Debbie Reynolds, Jay Leno, George Benson, the band America and too many more to mention. He’s made 8 appearances on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson and Jay Leno. He spent 40 years as the main weathercaster for NBC Los Angeles until he retired in 2020.
“I’m so happy to be honored by the Valley Economic Alliance,” says Coleman. “I’ve been aware of their great work for a long time. I’ve been a resident for over 40 years…raised 3 children and spent nearly my entire career in the San Fernando Valley. This will be a wonderful, full-circle moment for me.”
