Emmy Award-Winning Journalist Receives Award at
25th Annual Valley of the Stars Gala
Sherman Oaks, California– Emmy Award-Winning Journalist Lynette Romero will receive the Media Award at The Valley Economic Alliance (The Alliance) 25th Annual Valley of the Stars Awards Gala presented by Mission Valley Bank April 13, 2023 5:30-8:30 p.m. (PST) at The Odyssey located at 15600 Odyssey Dr. in Granada Hills, CA.
The Media Award is given to a media figure who contributes to the vitality of the Valley.
Lynette Romero is a well-known and respected Emmy Award-winning journalist who is beloved by millions of Southern California viewers. She joined NBC4 in October 2022 as co-anchor of the Morning newscast Today in LA. Romero is deeply committed to giving back to the local community and is active in countless charities and events that support students and underserved neighborhoods throughout Southern California. Romero is also particularly passionate about raising awareness of Alzheimer’s, memory loss and dementia facing the aging population, having lost her own mother to this devastating disease.
“As a journalist, I am dedicated to giving a voice to stories and experiences that help create understanding and awareness surrounding issues impacting our most vulnerable communities,” said Lynette Romero, NBC4 Today in LA Anchor. “I am honored to receive this year’s media award.”

This annual fundraiser generates critical funds that support regional business assistance and workforce development programs.
