to Receive Award at 26th Annual Valley of the Stars Gala
Sherman Oaks, California—Grammy Award-winning artist “Weird Al” Yankovic will receive the Entertainment Award at The Valley Economic Alliance (The Alliance) 26th Annual Valley of the Stars Awards Gala presented by Bechtel Infrastructure Corporation, April 25, 2024, 5:30-8:30 p.m. (PST) at Hilton Los Angeles/Universal City located at 555 Universal Hollywood Dr, Universal City, CA 91608.
The Entertainment Award is given to an artist who contributes to the vitality of the Valley.
“Weird Al” Yankovic is a 5-time Grammy Award-winning musician, producer, writer, actor, and satirist best known for his indelible parodies of popular songs by the biggest stars in the musical universe. The biggest-selling comedy recording artist of all time, his 2014 album Mandatory Fun was the first comedy album in history to debut at #1 on the Billboard chart. His movie WEIRD: The Al Yankovic Story which he produced and co-wrote, received the award for Best TV Movie at last year’s Emmy Awards. He is one of only three artists who have had their own songs in the Top 40 in the last four consecutive decades (the other two being Michael Jackson and Madonna). With a career spanning four decades, Weird Al’s legend has earned him a dedicated worldwide fan base and cemented his status as a pop culture icon.
