ONEgeneration to Receive Humanitarian Award
at 26th Annual Valley of the Stars Gala
Sherman Oaks, California—ONEgeneration will receive the Humanitarian Award at The Valley Economic Alliance (The Alliance) 26th Annual Valley of the Stars Awards Gala presented by Bechtel Infrastructure Corporation, April 25, 2024, 5:30-8:30 p.m. (PST) at Hilton Los Angeles/Universal City located at 555 Universal Hollywood Dr, Universal City, CA 91608.
The Humanitarian Award is presented to an individual or organization promoting human welfare in areas such as, but not limited to, hunger, healthcare, homelessness, and poverty mitigation.
ONEgeneration has improved the way our community cares for those in need by providing engaging intergenerational programs that enrich and connect children, adolescents, adults, and seniors. This reciprocity builds mutual respect and a sense of community, providing children and adults with diverse role models. The extraordinary relationships formed last throughout their participants’ lives.
“For over 45 years, we have continued to stand true to our mission as we enrich and support the lives of older adults, children, and families throughout our diverse communities,” says Jenna Haus, President and CEO of ONEgeneration. “We are proud work alongside community partners, stakeholders, and supporters in evolving our unique intergenerational approach to address some of our communities most pressing issues and want to express our thanks to the Valley Economic Alliance for this prestigious recognition.”
Over the years, Valley of the Stars has recognized and celebrated exemplary businesses, people, and organizations who positively impact and contribute to the economic vitality of the Valley with icons like Bob Hope, Dick Clark, Betty White and Sally Field.
“It brings me immense pride and honor to present ONEgeneration with this distinguished Humanitarian Award,” says Sonya Blake, CEO and President of The Alliance. “Their unwavering commitment to serving multiple generations in our community exemplifies the true spirit of compassion and dedication. Through their innovative programs and tireless efforts, ONEgeneration has set a remarkable example of how intergenerational connections can enrich and strengthen our society. This award is a testament to their outstanding contributions and serves as a reminder of the profound impact that organizations like ONEgeneration can have on building a more inclusive and caring world.”
