Alliance Advocacy Helps Secure Approval of Sepulveda Transit Project

On Thursday, January 22, 2026, the Metro Board of Directors approved Modified Alternative 5 for the Sepulveda Transit Corridor Project, marking a major milestone for the San Fernando Valley—and a powerful win for regional collaboration.

The Valley Economic Alliance was proud to be part of the coalition that advocated for this outcome, ensuring the Valley’s needs, voice, and economic future were front and center. This project will deliver a fast, reliable, high-capacity transit connection between the San Fernando Valley and the Westside, including direct access to University of California, Los Angeles, one of the region’s largest employment and education centers.
