Mabel Luen, Trade Credit Specialty Broker with Meridian Finance Group discussed trade finance tools that exporters can use to expand their international sales. Luen presented on the global demand for credit and how to address it using export credit insurance. She explained that export credit insurance enables exporters to strengthen their balance sheets, reduce their bad debt reserves and facilitate securitization of foreign A/R.

Julie Anne Hennessy, Director of U.S Commercial Services of the West Los Angeles branch and U.S Department of Commerce informed attendees about how they assist businesses to expand into new international markets.
